Graduate Student Support

First-field American Politics graduate students have a research home in the Rooney Center. The 2040 office suite functions as a collaborative working environment and includes ten open-space desks with locked storage units for each student, in addition to beverages and snacks.

Graduate students are encouraged to attend and present their own in-progress research at the Rooney Center Seminar Series, held at regular intervals throughout the semester. Presenting research at these events is a valuable opportunity for graduate students at all levels and particularly useful for job-market candidates who want to hone their presentation skills.

Please see the Rooney Center Research and Professional Funding and Grants and Fellowships pages to the left for more information on financial support for American Politics graduate students.
