Washington Program

The University of Notre Dame Washington Program offers students the ability to study off-campus, becoming immersed in the political and cultural life of Washington DC. In the semester-long program, students take classes focused on politics and policy as well as intern part-time. The Program not only affords students an opportunity to experience big city living and culture, it provides students with a unique opportunity to gain work experience and engage in career discernment. Sophomores and Juniors of any major and college are eligible to participate and the Program can accept 16 students for each semester.

 

Political Science Internship Program

The Political Science department helps facilitate internships with organizations in South Bend, including government offices and area non-profits. These internships are available during the spring and fall semesters as well as the summer, and are open to students from any major.

Leadership and No Blame Problem Solving will teach you your legal rights as a citizen leader who can bring solutions. Learn to get in the game of government decision-making, with a successful practitioners’ method called No-Blame Problem Solving.

 

Gerald R. Ford Leadership Forum

 “The Ford Forum,” an initiative of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, is inspired by President Ford’s virtue-anchored leadership. It has three programmatic aims: leadership development, civic engagement, and community betterment.
